Frequently Asked Questions:

1.  Is there a contract?

Yes and no.  For Residential customers, we request an annual agreement.   For Commercial customers, we require a  signed annual contract.  We are persuaded that when we provide services all months of the year, we can efficiently and effectively meet the needs of our customers and our employees.

2.  What is Bedlining?

Bedlining is the frequently overlooked method of creating a defined line where the grass meets pine straw or mulch bedding.  It makes for a very clean and manicured look.

3.  Why do weeds tend to show up along the edges of driveways and sidewalks?

Well, there are two good answers for this question.  First is that the method of Edging is performed in those very places which disturb the pre'emerge barrier, which in turn allows some weeds to successfully emerge.  Second is that the edge is where most water runoff occurs which provide ample water to weed seeds in those very places.  Both in combination work against most landscapers, turf care providers, and homeowners.

4.  Why does my neighbors' lawn look different (greener, thicker) than mine, especially when they use the same company?

Well, there are many contributing factors that go in to answering this question, so to keep it short, most lawns are planted or laid on differently prepared soils, even in the same development.  Most lawns undergo different methods of treatment and conditions.  Some of these differences are: being sanded and leveled versus not, mowed with different style mowers (rotary or reel), frequency of mowing (weekly, biweekly, or less), weight of mowers (large commercial grades, smaller commercial grades, homeowner grades, or push mowers), the amount of traffic a lawn receives, pets, trees (root systems, shade, nutrient and water intake), type of grass (hybrid, common, sod, or seeded), range of terrain, and drainage abilities are some to name a few.  The important thing is remembering that every lawn and landscape typically has it's own unique set of circumstances and some might say personalities.

5.  Why haven't my Crepe Myrtles been cutback yet?  Often asked by customers in December and January. â€‹

This answer is simple.  The recommended time to perform major cutback of Crepe Myrtles and Roses is in February for this region of Georgia.  Also, we don't usually recommend major cutback on Crepe Myrtles. Major cutback on Crepe Myrtles are sometimes necessary in some conditions.

6.  Pertaining to question 5...Well why have I seen other Crepe Myrtles cut back already?

Well many companies have a very full schedule and have to start early to get the jobs done.  The other reason is that many landscapers just don't know proper timing.

7.  If my lawn was treated today with a granular product, should I water it in?

In many cases, the answer is yes, it will most definitely help, but it's not necessary.  If WE treat a lawn and the product needs to be watered in, we will provide recommendations on your invoice, which will be noted on our website under the specific round received. We encourage our customers to visit our website and read our newsletter that directly relates to the round or service you received.

8.  I have this plant growing in my lawn and I'm not sure what it is.  Can you identify it for me?

Our best answer to this question is, it's probably a WEED!  OUR definition of a weed is anything growing where you don't want it to.  You can also check out this great website and it will help you with identifying it.   http://weedalert.com/
