This service should come as no surprise.  Those striking colors are beautiful when they're still attached to the trees, but we all know that they will come down.  Even if you have little to no trees of your own, chances are that leaves from nearby trees will find their way into your lawn.  Fall Leaf Blowing/Removal is a very important service that is often times overlooked during the initial decision to hire a lawn maintenance company, however if you want a healthy lawn the following spring, then they really do need to be removed.  We generally include this in our programs, but this service can be requested as a separate or individual service.

Pine Straw Installation

Pine straw is such a GREAT choice for ground cover because it is considered a renewable resource.  The trees from which the needles fall are reproducing its needles over and over again and harvesting begins without damage to a single tree.  Pine straw may also help with preventing weeds and soil-borne diseases. Because pine needles interlock even on landscapes with considerable slopes, pine straw is unlikely to wash away.  At the same time, pine straw remains loose and does not form a top crust like other mulches.  Pine straw allows water to drain readily into the soil for plant availability avoiding wasteful irrigation runoff.

Finally, the fine texture and uniform color of pine straw is simply more aesthetically pleasing to some. The attractive, earthy tone brings out the color, contrast, and texture of your landscapes. Besides being produced naturally, there are a variety of health and aesthetic advantages to using pine straw in your landscape as well.  Some of which are:

  •    Insulates tender roots from temperature extremes, keeping the soil warm during cold spells and cool during warm spells.

  •    Conserves soil moisture by reducing water evaporation rates and moisture loss.

  •    Encourages water infiltration into the soil and reduces runoff.

  •    Eliminates erosion caused by wind and rain.

  •    Protects against soil compaction by reducing the rain impact directly on the surface.

  •    Promotes favorable soil for healthy root growth.

  •    Does not require removal. To revitalize the color, simply add a layer of fresh straw on top of the old straw.

Tree & Shrub Trimming/Pruning

The way that we provide this service is one that sets us apart from a lot of other landscape companies.  We do understand that there are special times of the year to prune certain plantings, and we do understand that there are certain ways to prune as well.  We also understand that most other landscape companies only offer trimming of shrubs and hedges twice per year, this is where we are different.  We provide an ongoing visual evaluation of our customers properties, and if there are shrubs or hedges that obviously need some trimming (you know...to maintain that neat and clean appearance) WE DO IT!!!!  We generally charge for Tree & Shrub Trimming/Pruning as a twice per year service, like most other companies, but in reality we provide this service much more often because we understand the importance of assuring our customers that we have the beauty of their property under control.

Mulch Installation

Adding mulch in shrub and flower beds to accent your property is one of the few things that can really beautify a landscape and in many cases add value.  The most common form of mulch is shredded hardwood or bark mulch, and generally comes in four colors.  The first of these colors is not really colored at all, it's just Natural colored, followed by Dark Brown, Red, and Black.  The right choice of colored mulch for a property can make all the difference in how much curb appeal it has.  The contrasting colors of hardwood mulch, creates a beautiful, natural, and tidy affect.  In addition to the beauty, mulches provide a number of other benefits including, temperature moderation, moisture retention for the soil, and a reduced amount of weed growth.  What most people don’t realize is that mulch is also a soil additive that replaces organic matter as it decomposes and adds nutrients back to the soil.

Mulching new areas usually require 2 inches of mulch the first and second years. Then 1 inch each year after.

Pine bark can also be used in some cases.

Weed Control in Bedding

Clean-Up Service

A landscape clean-up can be a bit overwhelming sometimes.  So, if you're a homeowner who “just doesn’t have the time” and have allowed things to get a little out of control, maybe you inherited a mess through a new home purchase, you’re getting ready for a big party, or maybe you just need to spiff up the house before putting it on the market...OUR one time clean-ups can whip your lawn and landscape back into shape.  Clean-ups can be done for business owners, property managers, and real estate companies as well.

This service is so important and yet so delicate.  Weeds in beds can really make a property look unkept.  Spraying the weeds with a herbicide is the usual remedy of choice.  However, too many times the person spraying can accidentally spray/mist the wrong plant or walk right through the already sprayed areas getting it on the bottom of their shoes.  Then they trail it back though the grass, and just a few short days later, footprints of dead grass appear. With INTEGRITY|turf  at your service we will spray the weeds with careful accuracy using caution on windy days, pulling weeds as needed, and will most definitely NOT walk through already sprayed areas!
