Turf Care
INTEGRITY|turf considers Turf Care as one of the most important services any property owner should consider to ensure the longevity, health, and aesthetics of their turf grass. The best defense against weeds is always a thick, healthy, and properly-fertilized turf. Our select granular and liquid fertilizers, expertly applied, will not only help keep your lawn green but will help keep it thick and healthy too. A thick and growing turf will help choke out and prevent most undesirable weeds. Our Turf Care Programs are designed to provide the proper blend of nutrients at the proper time, depending upon your turf type.
Our Turf Care Programs are designed around the basic principles of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) method. The IPM method is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.

While weed-control and fertilization are very important, there is more that is required for your lawn to remain healthy and looking great, especially here in the North Georgia region. Iron, Lime, Potassium, and Magnesium are just a few that are needed and included in ALL our Turf Care programs. We also noticed many lawns in this region were getting diseases like Dollar Spot, Large Patch, and Brown Patch. We've also seen the horrible results that grubs can cause, so we've included effective measures to help prevent the damage of these insects and diseases in our Integrity PRO Program. It's our most requested program and every lawn could benefit from it!
Our Turf Care Division offers a couple of different Turf fertilization and weed control programs for your lawn, so no matter what your budget, let us find the right program for you. We also offer a Tree and Shrub Program and other services that will greatly benefit a lawn and landscape. Take a look below and let us know what we can do to help.

Core Aeration For Warm Season Turf
Core Aeration is one of the most important cultural practices available for your warm season lawn. Our aeration equipment removes thousands of small cores of soil from your lawn that are 2 inches deep and 4-5 inches apart. These cores will gradually dissolve back into the thatch, while leaving small holes for turf roots to grow back into. The benefits of an aeration at least once a year are considerable especially in this region where the clay-like soil gets compacted so easily. Aeration helps your lawn because it loosens compacted soils, controls thatch buildup, allows air and nutrients to enter the root-zone more efficiently, and prevents water runoff allowing for more water intake. The best time for a Core Aeration service to be performed is during the months in spring and summer for warm season turf types like Bermuda and Zoysia.
Aeration & Overseeding For Cool Season Fescue Turf
Core aeration is one of the most important cultural practices available for your cool season lawn. Fescue type grasses grow best during the fall, winter and spring seasons when temperatures are cooler and rainfall is generally more abundant. During the hot summer months in this region, Fescue will become stressed and stop growing until cooler temperatures return.

Fescue lawns need to be Aerated and Overseeded every fall to increase lawn density. During our Aeration and Overseeding service we will remove cores of soil from the existing compacted surface. These cores are approximately 2 inches deep and 4-5 inches apart are left on the surface. These cores will break down and eventually settle to the low areas. The proper amount a Certified custom blended seed will broadcast spread across the lawn. Last and definitely not least, a starter fertilizer will be applied to help promote the germination and growth of the new seedlings. Creating a strong seed foundation will increase the chances of surviving the summer heat and many fungus problems.
The best time to rejuvenate your Fescue lawn in North Georgia is in late September and all through October. This is when both soil and air temperatures are at the optimal level for seed germination and it allows plenty of time for the young grass to mature before colder temperatures slows down the plant growth. It's very important that customers water their new seedlings everyday for the first 7 days and keep all leaves off the surface area as best as possible. Because of the homeowners responsibility in this area we cannot guarantee this service!
